To kick off the 2022 Dignity in Schools National Week of Action, I Vote For Me was excited to welcome youth from Racial Justice Now DMV and Brotherly Love.  We convened at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center for our Youth Participatory Action Research focus group.
Because I Vote For Me and RJN! both believe movements are most effective when they’re led by the impacted, there was no other way to get the youth perspective, other than directly from the youth themselves. In safe spaces, where youth feel loved, supported and empowered they will share transparently and indeed they did!
We’re currently in talks of planning a trip to see RJN! and Brotherly Love youth again in the first quarter of 2023 This time we’re heading up North to Maryland. We’re sending love to our RJN! family until we see you again.
