Leaders of a Beautiful Struggle convened their 9th Annual Black Legislative Agenda Day, themed “From the Baltimore Grassroots”. The convening brought together community grassroot organizations to  discuss a variety of issues in preparation for the 2023 Maryland General Assembly. The concept was for those working in the grassroots to work collaboratively on efforts in Annapolis to support legislation that will help the Black communities across Maryland.

Racial Justice NOW! Co-Founder and Co-Director, Zakiya Sankara-Jabar, participated in the event as a guest panelist. LBS and Racial Justice NOW! have found many intersections in their work and in 2020 they recorded a three part series of Podcasts titled, “Is there a new COINTEL Program for U.S. Public Schools”, with leaders of LBS Lawrence Grandpre, Adam Jackson, and Dayvon Love.

The podcasts can be heard HERE.
